Why can't I register an account?

This could be happening for one of several reasons:

• Acebook is not fully compatible with mobile devices at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience, and advise that you try your registration again from a computer until we are able to rectify this.
• You are an AOL user. Due to AOL's use of proxies, registrations from AOL can be blocked by our anti-spam facility.  We advise you to try your registration again from a different browser such as Firefox.
• You have been blocked by anti-spam for other reasons. This is beyond our control, as registrations are checked against the Stop Forum Spam database.  If you believe your information has ended up on this list in error, please see the Stop Forum Spam website for more information.

Why was my account banned?

If your account has been banned, the staff member who did the banning will have given you a reason on your profile page.  Please review the Terms and Conditions to clarify the given reason(s).  If you believe your account has been banned in error, you may submit an unban request via your profile, which will be reviewed by our staff.  Please do not use the contact form to submit queries regarding your ban.  Emails sent via the contact form for this reason will be ignored.

How do I delete my account?

Well, we would hate to see you go, of course, but we understand sometimes there are reasons for doing so.  If you are sure you want to delete your account, click the button at the bottom of your profile.  Another button will appear in a popup, and if you are still sure you want to delete your account, click on that one as well.  Before you do that, though, if you are the owner of any groups on the site, please consider asking an administrator to transfer ownership to another member.  Otherwise, the group will no longer be available.

Help, I accidentally deleted my account!  Is there any way to get it back?

Unfortunately, no, account data is purged upon deletion, and you will need to re-register.
